Bournemouth

2014/2015 Season – Championship 1st Place

The South coast side had an amazing season in 2014/2015, going from being promoted to The Championship to eventually finishing as champions, automatic promotion to The Premier League. Though they may have had assistance through Russian ‘sugar daddy’ owner Maxim Demin, Eddie Howe has done a fantastic job with the club. The south coast team may have an element of surprise about them, as they are unknown compared to other sides…

Key Player – Lee Camp

2015/2016 Season – 17th

When previous first choice goalkeeper Ryan Allsop was sidelined due to injury, the Cherries brought in Lee Camp on loan from West Bromwich Albion. Only contracted to stay on the South Coast for a month, the loan was extended until November and then January after a number of impressive performances, notable against Brighton on News Years Day. ‘Sign him up’ was sung from the stands and that’s exactly what manager Eddie Howe did, and now Camp has deservedly earned his place as Bournemouth’s first choice goalkeeper. Bournemouth have made some impressive moves in the Transfer Market also, signing Arthur Buroc from Southampton, Christian Atsu from Everton, experienced defender Silvin Distin from Everton, just to name a few. With the financial backing of Demin, impressive signings, expansion processes, and the element of surprise, the sky is the limit for Bournemouth. They certainly look like staying up.
