23 year-old Rennes midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure has signed for Watford for an undisclosed fee. It has also emerged that he has put pen-to-paper on a four-and-a-half year deal.
Doucoure has spent his whole professional career at Rennes after originally joining them as a schoolboy at the age of 14. At the age of 17, Doucoure began playing for Rennes B where he made 23 appearances from central-midfield and scored 2 goals. Doucoure was then promoted to the first team at the age of 20 where he managed to make 75 appearances and score 12 goals in his short career at the club.
Doucoure has been loaned straight out to Granada though and is expected to return at the end of the season.
