With around 9 games left of arguably the most exciting season ever some would say its looking very good for England. Personally I can’t remember the last time so many strikers where in such great form. And I do not envy Roy Hodgson’s decision when it comes down to it.

Most likely 4 Spots will be up for grabs for the English contingent and they are going to have to prove to Roy why they deserve to be the man. After how the season has panned out so far i think there are only 2 certainties who will be on the plane (or bus) to France. The First is of course the love story of the season Jamie Vardy, The Leicester City man has been a key member in the success of this team, 19 Goals in all competitions have proved to everyone that anyone can come through the ranks of english football and succeed. The former Fleetwood Town man is defiantly going to be on roy’s list due to the fear factor he brings defenders, I think other than Pepe every European centre back is quaking in their boots just thinking about playing against Jamie Vardy.

My next Certainty is (As much as it pains me to say) Tottenham’s Harry Kane, this young man showed last week in the North London Derby the Quality he possess. Scoring 3 goals in is first 8 appearances for his country has been far from spectacular but a good solid addition to the team. However the matter is Harry Kane has by far been one of the most consistent goal scores in the premier league this season alone scoring 20 in 40 games. This record he has been continuing over the last 2 years and provides not only a a tall strong player but someone who isn’t afraid to take on a man. With the most important game in the groups being Wales for the pride of our country I believe this is a game Kane has to play to terrorise the potential pair of Ashley Williams and James Collins. Kane is a must pick player for Roy and for me is already on the plane/bus if he stays injury free.

Right with 2 spots left to fill its going to be a tough decision and I would just like to mention 2 players just returning from injury that being Andy Carroll and Daniel Sturridge, i believe these players with very good ends to the season would have a claim to be in the squad but due to their injury impacted seasons wouldn’t make it in my squad.

The 3rd player who does make it in my squad is infact Wayne Rooney. With a huge advantage of being England Captain I think although ‘Wazza’ has had a tough season with Manchester United but you cannot doubt the mans quality in front of goal, he has showed these at glimpses this season and after scoring his first World Cup Goal in Brazil and becoming the all time goal scorer for England i think our Captain has one good tournament left in him. I also don’t see enough leaders in the potential squad, with only the likes of Jordan Henderson, Jagielka and Hart being experienced leaders Rooney has to lead the team out in the first game and set the tone for the long battle ahead because I completely believe that England can win this European Championship.

Finally The last player that makes my Euro Squad is a diverse player and i think you can all guess, Danny Welbeck. One of England’s most consistent performers in the last 3 years. ‘Welbz’ for me has to go I believe has a point to prove before his injury this season he was the Top Scorer in the qualifying round. I mean England’s group wasn’t hard but at the end of the day you have to put the ball in the back of the net. He is a hard working solid payer who can play either Left or Right wing and Up front, the majority argue we should take him as midfielder but Welbeck is a force to be reckoned with upfront, a lot of Manchester United fans would agree with me when I say he could have been your starting striker for most of this season and could have grabbed you a fair few goals. In the last few weeks Danny has started up front for Arsenal and I think he has done very well, obviously scoring that late winner against Jamie Vardy’s Leicester. With a strong end to the season staying injury free Danny will be on the plane to the Euros and will have a huge impact on the tournament.
