Havard Nordtveit set to join West Ham on a free transfer

Havard Nordtveit is set to join West Ham United after a contract was agreed between the club and Nordtveit’s agent, the Norweigen central defensive midfielder joined Borussia Mönchengladbach for just £800,000 back in 2010 from Arsenal, since then Havard has solidified his place in the Mönchengladbach team as well as becoming a fan favourite.

The 25 year-old can also play centre back as well as right back if needed, the versatile midfielder attracted interest from clubs such as Borrusia Dortmund and Athletico Madrid yet Havard decided he wanted a move to England with West Ham being strong favourites to sign the highly rated midfielder, and signing a player of his calibre on a free would be a real coup for the East London side.

Nordtveit isn’t the only midfielder linked with a permanent move to West Ham with Manuel Lanzini looking likely to join the club on a permanent basis following a successive loan spell with the club this season, the argentine is set to sign for a deal worth just under £10 million.
