El Clasico is one of the most important games in world football, because two of the most successful clubs, Barcelona and Real Madrid, go head to head. After last time, Madrid will be looking for revenge. The most recent result finished 4-0 to Barcelona, with Real’s Isco getting a red card, plus Messi starting on the bench as he was recovering from an injury.
From the previous five fixtures, Barcelona has won four. Real Madrid’s last win against their rivals was on the 25th October 2014. That game finished with a 3-1 victory to Madrid, and the game was an entertaining one. Within the first five minutes, Neymar put Barcelona 1-0 up, and the game stayed that way until just over half and hour when a Ronaldo penalty put Madrid back in the game. Just five minutes after the break the Portuguese defender Pepe put Madrid in front. After an hour of the game, French striker Karim Benzema made it three for Madrid. Benzema’s goal killed off the game, and it ended 1-3.
My score prediction is 3-1 Barcelona. I think it will be a comfortable win for them as they are storing ahead in the league and after their last victory over Madrid, they will be looking for another win. However, it won’t be easy. This will be Zidane’s first Clasico as a manager, and he will be looking for a win to keep the pressure on the league leaders. The trio of Neymar, Suárez and Messi (MSN) won’t make it easy for the defence of Madrid. Madrid have scored 18 goals in 5 games in all competitions but I don’t think their defence will cope with the pace and power of the front three of Barcelona. Madrid last defeat came against Local rivals Atletico Madrid. Zidane’s men will be looking for a win to prove that he is the right man to take the club forward and be more determine to fight for the title.
Both clubs will have to make the right signing in the summer to keep up the pressure on each other with rumours that Messi new contract offer is a long way off of what he was expecting so Pep Guardiola will hopefully make Messi one of his signings at the Etihad. Messi with being offered around £800,000 per week plus bonuses that will easily make him the most paid player in the world.
Why Messi shouldn’t Join Manchester City? Because he has an easy job in Spain with winning every game near enough and after last season’s treble they will be hoping of recapping that this season but it won’t be easy. Winning 5 Ballon d’Or will be a lot harder for the Argentine in England only one Person to win that award was Ronaldo in 2008 when he was playing for Manchester United.
Why Ronaldo shouldn’t leave Madrid? Beginning his new chapter in Madrid he has done excellent since joining from Manchester United and the previous season he went through a rough patch with only scoring one free kick from 40 odd which for him that is an awful record. Ronaldo has also become very close to winning another Ballon d’Or which forward team-mates Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale has helped him score some magnificent goals and fantastic achievements at the club and if he would leave if would be difficult to find another forward line of that capability.
