It’s the last game in group A for both sides and they both be looking for a win as they both sit 3rd and 4th respectively in the group. The aim for Romania will be to steal second place off Switzerland while Albania will be hoping for a first ever European Championship win to seal a third place finish.
Romania: Tătărușanu; Săpunaru, Chiricheș, Grigore, Raț; Prepeliță, Hoban; Torje, Stanciu, Stancu; Alibec.
Albania: Berisha; Hysaj, Cana, Mavraj, Agolli; Lila, Xhaka, Kaçe, Abrashi, Lenjani; Sadiku.
With the host France having to rely on late goals to get 3 points from both of these sides, tonights game will be a very passionate game as both teams will be fighting to go through the group into the knockout stages of the tournament.
Bogdan Stancu is a key figure up-front for Romania and he has looked a threat whenever he has been on the ball this tournament. The fans will be hoping he is the one who will provide the goals in tonight huge game. The Romanian forward plays his club football for Turkish side Gençlerbirliği S.K, Stancu has played for a numerous amount of clubs in Turkey with Galatasaray S.K being one.
Lorik Cana will be the Albanian’s main man and they will hope to draw on his experience as they go in search of a win. Cana was the first person in the competitions to get red card but with his experience he will be hoping he can bounce straight back on his return. Cana may be familiar to English fans as he used to play his football in England for Sunderland but currently, he plays in France for Ligue 1 side Nantes, who finished 14th in the 2015-16 season. Albania are yet to score in this tournament which reflects on their standing in the tournament so keeping tight at the back will be key tonight.
1-0 to Romania with Stancu grabbing the goal to open his account, it will be a close game but I think Romania will just edge it over their opponents and it will be a goalless tournament for Albania which would be a shame.
