Numerous reports are stating that Rotherham United are close to completing a deal to sign Peterborough winger Jon Taylor.

The 24 year old has scored 14 goals in 68 appearances for the Posh since signing in 2014. This will add greater depth into the Rotherham midfield. Should the move to be completed, he would be Alan Stubbs’ sixth signing so far this season, following the clubs’ most recent signing of former Nottingham Forest defender Kevin Wilson on a year-long deal.

The club however are still in need of a striker or two. With only one first team striker fit, the fans of Rotherham will be hopeful that the clubs rumoured link with the Swedish striker, Christoffer Nyman, who plays for IFK Norrköping, to be true. Especially with Stubbs dismissing any interest in Cardiff City striker Adam Le Fondre. Le Fondre is held very highly in the eyes of many Rotherham fans as a club hero, he scored 54 goals for the club between 2009 to 2011.

Rotherham United host Wolverhampton Wanderers this Saturday at the AESSEAL New York Stadium, 3pm kick off.
