Vanarama National League side Solihull Moors have signed Wes McDonald on-loan from Birmingham City, according to The National League.
Liam McDonald has faced a selection crisis in recent weeks with a number of players picking up injuries, however, the addition of the 20-year-old has calmed rocky waters ahead of the Moors’ trip to Bromley in the League.
McDonald, born in London, played an impressive role in the Blues’ under-23 squad last season, netting 10 goals from twenty-four starts to top Birmingham’s goal-scoring table.
And McDonald, a former Fulham youngster, made his debut in the Moors’ visit to Bromley on Saturday in the Vanarama National League.
Speaking after signing the Blues youngster, Solihull Moors boss Liam McDonald said: “We’re once again grateful to Birmingham City for allowing us to have Wes on a short-term loan. As our supporters will know, we’re struggling with injuries at the moment and as a result that has left us light attacking wise.
“Wes will give us something extra and will help the squad over the next month”.
Back in February last year McDonald was loaned out to fellow non-league side Nuneaton Town where, as an 18-year-old, he impressed but still awaits a chance in the Blues’ first-team.
