West Ham United take on Arsenal at the London stadium on the 13th of December at 8pm live on BT Sports. Betting sites are currently in favour of Arsenal to win. However West Ham will be looking for at least a points in-order to get out of the bottom three.
At 8pm on Wednesday West Ham play another top team in an effort to gain 3 points to escape the relegation zone. After beating Chelsea on Saturday 9th of December West Ham are looking to capitalise on their win using it to give the team a boost of hope. Whereas Arsenal’s last game was a disappointing 1-1 draw against Southampton, they’ll also be looking for a win to put them back on track on trying to secure a Champions League position.
Both teams face injury’s. Arsenal are without Mustafi and Ramsey along with Cazorla who remains out with a long term ankle injury. Whereas West Ham are without Collins, Byram and Fonte as well as Fernandes who is doubt for West Ham. However Cheikhou Kouyate could return to the squad after suffering a hamstring problem.
After struggling away from home they’ll be looking to take all three points. Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has a good record against the West Ham manager David Moyes, winning 17 of the 28 last meetings against the Scotsman. Whereas the team also have an impressive record against the Hammers with the last loss against West Ham coming in November 2006.
Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud will be looking to start along with team mate Jack Wilshere who both came on as substitutes on Sunday and highly impressed both the manager and the fans. As well as Giroud scoring the late goal in the game against the Saints, one of the seven goals scored this season including his three goals scored in the UEFA Europa League. All Premier League goals coming from off the bench which has now drawn Giroud on the most goals as a substitute for a single team in the Premier League scoring 17 off the bench.
On the other hand, West Ham are looking to secure at least one point to try and escape the drop zone. With momentum from their win against the champions West Ham will be trying to push a win which could be likely. Which was the first win in nine games as well as manager David Moyes’ first since joining the club. West Ham will put up a big fight against Arsenal, capitalising on their poor performance in the hopes that their efforts lead to a success.
