Bayern Munich loanee interested in Premier League switch

Colombian James Rodriguez is reportedly keen on joining Merseyside outfit, Liverpool.

One report, which has emerged from Spain, claims that the attacking midfielder is interested in a move to the side who are currently managed by Jurgen Klopp and is “strongly considering” a move according to El Gol Digital.

Rodriguez moved to the Bundesliga leaders in the summer – on a two-year loan deal and is considered widely to be one of the continents most exciting attacking midfielders.

The 26-year-old transferred to Real Madrid from French side AS Monaco in the summer of 2014 for a fee believed to be in the region of £71m but has since struggled to hold down a starting place given the form of the famous BBC.

His future in the Spanish capital isn’t clear and El Gol Digital have stated this morning that a move to Liverpool in the Summer is strongly being considered.

However, there is an issue though. Bayern Munich hold the cards, which means that they have an option to buy the player who lit up the 2014 World Cup at the conclusion of his loan spell and should that option be activated, Liverpool would be in a difficult situation in attempting to coax him away from the German outfit.

Any sort of deal is a long, long way at the moment, but if somehow Liverpool do call on his services, he will be a great successor for Philippe Coutinho!

Liverpool fans, what do you make of this? What will James Rodriguez bring to the side?
