On Sunday afternoon, Cardiff City host Arsenal at the Cardiff City Stadium as Aaron Ramsey returns to his boyhood club.
The Bluebirds have two points from their first three games back in the Premier League. Neil Warnock’s side are yet to score a goal in the top flight and have been tipped for relegation. Cardiff are the only club in the top four tiers of English football who have yet to score a league goal this season.
Arsenal got their first three points of the season last weekend against West Ham, after two defeats at the hands of Chelsea and Man City. The Gunners are still adapting to the methods of their new head coach Unai Emery which will of course take time.
Cardiff City winger Nathaniel Mendez-Laing will be out for three months after damaging his knee last weekend against Huddersfield.
Fellow winger Junior Hoilett faces a fitness test due to a groin problem and Aron Gunnarsson is ruled out again.
Mesut Ozil missed the win against West Ham with illness but is available to play this week.
Sead Kolasinac (knee), Carl Jenkinson (ankle), Laurent Koscielny (achilles) and Ainsley Maitland-Niles (leg) are all out injured for Arsenal.
Arsenal haven’t started the season as well as they would have liked but they should be able to find a way past Cardiff and record back-to-back wins. My prediction is Cardiff 0-2 Arsenal.
