Canaries Step Up Transfer Hunt

Today to many Norwich fans excitement, there has been a whirlwind of transfer rumours regarding the club. In this post I will be looking at some of the potential incomings for Norwich as most of the rumours have been about the Norfolk side looking to add extra quality to their squad.

Andrea Ranocchia

Norwich we understand have submitted a considerably large offer to lure Inter Milan defender to the Premier League. However despite their best efforts it is being reported on social media that Ranocchia has thought to has opted for a move to Bologna over the Premier League side. Which is a an interesting one given that we understand that Ranocchia was offered more money to play for Norwich. The reason some people are eluding to is that he would much rather stay in the Serie A.

Ivo Pinto

Norwich’s fortunes with this pursuit seem to be a lot more successful. As it seems that they are pretty much set to sign the Dinamo Zagreb defender in the next few days. Sky Sports News believe that the fee is in the region of £2 Million for the right back, which is considerably less, when compared with Ranocchia. Pinto has been previously called up to the senior Portugal squad in the past but is yet to make a senior appearance for the national side.

Joseph Baffo

This is certainly an interesting one in my opinion, as it seems this rumour has well and truly come out of no where. That being said its thought that the club are looking to do a deal on the quiet for one of their targets from the previous summer window. The 23 year old currently applies his trade in the German second division with club, Eintracht Braunschweig but it is rumoured that he is thought to be looking for a move away despite only just recently joining them. I do like to stress though that the credibility of this rumour lower than the other reported targets, as it seems that this rumour came to fruition following the discovery of a previously unscheduled arrival, which was a flight from Braunsweig to Norwich airport which is not common. The plane, whether its containing him or not, has thought to have arrived at the airport by the time this has been posted.

Benik Afobe

This rumour has certainly been a long drawn out one and was a big talking point in the summer window, as Wolves remained vigilant that they would not sell unless Norwich met their demands. Wolves turned down multiple deals throughout the summer, with the highest thought to be in the region of £10 Million, but this did not meet their £15 Million valuation of Afobe. The Sun believe that Norwich are set to make another bid for the Wolves striker, thought to be in the region of £12 Million. It will be interesting to see whether that is enough to tempt him away from the Championship club.
