Is Chris Todd set to be Weston-super-Mare’s next manager?

Chris Todd was sacked by Eastleigh last month after losing two games out of four games into the new season. This sacking was seen as fairly harsh by most of the Eastleigh supporters after creating a side that can push for the playoffs over the summer. Todd also guided Eastleigh to the FA Cup Third Round last season before being knocked out by debt-ridden Bolton Wanderers in a replay.

And after Ryan Northmore was sacked by Weston-super-Mare on Sunday morning, Weston are currently on the lookout for a new manager to turn their form around after suffering eight defeats on the bounce, with the latest coming against Southern League Divison One South & West side North Leigh on Saturday, seeing the Vanarama South side ultimately knocked out of the FA Cup at the first time of asking, the 2nd Qualifying Round.

With the rumor mill spreading around Weston’s managerial situation across the last couple of days, Chris Todd’s surprise appearance at the FA Youth Cup game last night between Weston-super-Mare and Ashton & Backwell will not have helped in the rumors dying down. So, with Todd appearing to show his support and that he was keen to take on the Weston job with a surprise showing in the area, Todd will surely appear to be in the front running now. Or is there another twist in the tale?
