Will Dimitri Payet leave or stay?

Recently, Dimitri Payet has been refusing to train for West Ham United.

Slaven Bilic has said “It has left me sad, angry, but at the moment Dimitri has said he will not play for the club, so I have no alternative but to plan for Saturday’s match without him. He will not train with the rest of the squad and the club’s position remains consistent, which is that he is not for sale.”

The France international wants to re-join French club Marseille, who have already put a 19m bid in for Payet.

West Ham haven’t had the best of starts to this season and if Payet leaves it could go even worse for the Hammers.

Payet stats for this season:

  • 18 Appearances
  • 761 Passes
  • 80% Pass Percentage
  • 2 Goals
  • 6 Assists

He has definitely been a key man for West Ham this season and last season when the Hammer finished in a respectful 7th position.

If Payet leaves, who will West Ham replace him with? How will West Ham cope? There are so many questions football fans are asking right now.

At the moment it looks like Dimitri is going to stay as Slaven Bilic is refusing to let him go elsewhere. The 29 year old is loved by West Ham fans after the amazing job he did last season for the Hammers.

Dimitri Payet’s agent will hold talks with West Ham co-chairman David Sullivan on Friday, to try make sure Payet gets his move he wants to Marseille.

A lot of Hammers fans are angry about this situation and they hope it will be sorted soon.

The Frenchman will miss Crystal Palace game and could even miss more.

Slaven seems to want to keep Payet but Karren Brady has admitted Dimitri Payet could be sold soon. Dimitri has also reportedly said he will fake an injury just to get out of playing games for West Ham United.

I think it’s safe to say West Ham fans aren’t too happy with Payet.
